Food allergies and intolerances are a hot topic in children’s health.  In this session we will discuss many common questions/concerns on this topic such as; How do you recognize a food allergy? What kinds of food allergies exist? What is the difference  between a food allergy and an intolerance?  How to cope with a food allergy/ intolerance in your family.

Free Christmas Lunch

December 20th from 11:30-12:30 at the Hillcrest United Church in Montague.

Once again Families First will host a Christmas Lunch for all families in the community with small children.  This year it will be a tthe Hillcrest United Church Basement.  The entrance is at the back of the building and there is lots of parking.  We would like you to pre-register by December 16th to ensure there is lots of food for everyone.

Have some fun assembling a simple preschool craft.  This would make a great Christmas gift for someone on your child’s Christmas list.  We will have lots of materials available for the artist in your child.

Join us at the Families First  Centre in Montague to celebrate Christmas.  On Monday December 12th from 10-11:30 am we will have games, crafts, activities, music and snacks for all to enjoy.

Thursday December 1st from 10-11:30 take a break from all of the holiday hubbub to sit with a cup of hot spiced cider, a Christmas treat or two and some tips and suggestions on how to reduce the stress of th holidays.  Childcare provided please register.

Fire Prevention Week 2011 will be observed from Sunday October 9th through to Saturday October 15th.  The theme for this year is “PROTECT YOUR FAMILY FROM FIRE”.  http://www.fiprecan.ca/

On Thursday October 13th at 10 am a Volunteer Fire Fighter will visit the Montague Centre to discuss fire safety tips and bring along a firetruck for the children to explore.
