Gail Lecky, Executive Director of CPF PEI will be at the centre on Monday May 6th at 11 am to discuss the following topics:

How to Learn French on PEI in the Public School System.  What are the types of French second language programs?  What is th benefit of second language learning for students?  What types of French language education is available on PEI?  what are the types of Immersion and where are they available?  How to support your French Immersion Child?  Issues with French Immersion.  Is French Immersion for everyone?

Gail started with CPF PEI in 1999.   She is the Executive Director but started out as a part-time coordinator for the Branch Board of Directors.   Gail’s education was in bookkeeping.  How to manage a non-profit came from her years as a volunteer herself, first with Block Parents and later with the Kiwanis Club of Charlottetown.

CPF’s activities include advocacy, fund raising, staff management, evaluations, French Summer Camps, networking and managing a team of dedicated volunteers .

Gail has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Charlottetown and through this organization works with Air Cadets and is on the Bingo Country Board of Directors.  She also volunteers at festivals and events in Charlottetown.  Gail has three children Mike, Melanie and Sarah.
