Pre & Post Natal

Prenatal & Breastfeeding Support

Our prenatal programs are offered to any one who is expecting a baby or has a child up to one year of age.  We encourage all members of the family, moms, dads, grandparents, or any other supportive person to participate as well.

Prenatal & breastfeeding support is available in a one-on-one setting. If you have questions, concerns or are in need of support, feel free to call. We can set up a time for you to come to the centre or an at-home visit, which ever best suits your needs.

Breast Pumps & Baby Equipment

We have a variety of baby equipment available for you to borrow including breast pumps, baby slings and breastfeeding pillows. Families First has hospital grade breastpumps available free of charge for short term use. We try to accommodate all requests but serious issues such as premature baby, low birth weight baby, low milk production, weaning and other medical concerns take priority.  This program also helps the mother prolong the period of time that they feed their baby breast milk.

Home Visits

Home visits with our prenatal program staff are available upon request. It is not always easy to get yourself and a new baby out of the house. Our staff can visit you in your home to introduce you to our programs and to address any questions you may have.
